Fighting Well

I recently read a word by Lorilei Cooley that bore witness with me. I took that word and made it personal so I could declare it over my life. I want to share it with you today – so you can do the same…

Many are at the cusp of seeing such monumental change take place in their lives, that it is prodigious in size. That’s me! The magnitude is beyond what I can comprehend, that is the enormity of it. I have waited a very long time for this season, this moment, and this appointed time. What I must do now is push through and birth, it is imperative and relies heavily upon what I am about to step into. It may seem that this is the hardest birthing yet, but the Lord is calling my name forth in this season. For my time to be elevated and receive all that He has promised me has arrived.

I heard the Lord say, “This long-awaited fulfillment of promise is closing in on me, and it will be all that He said that it would be. God will exceed, surpass, and multiply all that was stolen as He restores and fulfills, with the fullness of the power of His spoken word. I will see the manifestation of how Your word never fails. That You are the promise keeper. You, the Lord are doing only what You and Your word can do. You’re invading my life with Your word, Your power, and Your glory. I will know and see that God alone can change the most barren desolate places of my life. You, God bring life to the void. You are fulfilling and bringing things together suddenly, as Your word has gone forth and does that which You sent it to do over all areas of my life. No area of my life that You the Lord are bringing change to will be left untouched. Your glory will be seen in, over, and through my life as You bring complete fulfillment.”

This is something I often do. If a prophetic word speaks to me or I bear witness to it, I take those words and personalize them. I then begin to declare them over myself until that word becomes a part of me. Over the years, it has really helped me to hold on to prophetic words or promises while in the process of seeing them come to pass.

The Bible tells us to war with prophetic words – I believe this applies to words we are given prophetically and also words for the entire Body of Christ. I love what 1 Timothy 1:18 says in the New Living Translation. Timothy, my son, here are my instructions for you, based on the prophetic words spoken about you earlier. May they help you fight well in the Lord’s battles.

May the prophetic words spoken to or over you help you fight well.
